The article aims to document the development of mosaic research in Turkey, concentrating on recent finds during the past 20 years. Mosaic finds from the western regions of Turkey have been analyzed, and approximately 60 different mosaic floors have been uncovered in 30 different settlements. The documented mosaics are evaluated in the context of artistic, chronological and typological aspects, as well as the implementation of conservation. |
