Rescue Archaeological Research at a Portion of the Roman Building in Pomer in 2007

An archaeological research was carried out in Pomer, on the west bank of Meduline cove, in 2007. Out of devastated archaeological remains the most outstanding find was a 5m² section of a polychrome floor mosaic. There was clear evidence of the remains of ancient Roman walls made of stone and lime mortar among the scattered debris. No conclusions as to the possible original aspect of the ancient buildings can be drawn under these circumstances. However, it is still possible to draw a ground plan of the excavated part of the antique complex.
