In the center of the city of Patras were excavated roadside buildings from the Hellenistic and Roman times. Remnants of black and white floor mosaics were found in 35-37 Omonoia Square, in 27 Korinthou and Georgiou A’ Square, and in D. Gounari Street. Their themes are mostly geometrical (meanders, lozenges, crosses and quatrefoils). |
