During the excavation of buildings belonging to the classical city of Samos a great number of tesserae were found in Dichalion Street. The buildings were in use until the Late Antique times. Since no mosaic floors existed in the buildings, the tesserae found therein suggest that the building was used as a store or as a mosaicist’s workshop. |
