Test trench (trench code IX d3) in the monumental hall (A2) of the Northern Baths with eight granite colomns. The ceiling and arches are decorated with stucco. The floor is paved with polychrome opus tessellatum mosaics in geometric patterns. Probably 2nd c. A.D.
Conservation works : in the southern baths the northern wall of the frigidarium has been elevated using original building material for a better preservation of the mosaic floor. |
