Conservation works carried out at the Lower City Church. Geotextile and a layer of pumice which were laid to protect the opus sectile and tile floor have been removed. The works concentrated on the first phase where the building was constructed as a basilica. Walls of this basilica were revetted with marble slabs until the level of the windows, and with mosaics (opus tessellatum) and frescoes above. |
