During the restoration works, an opus sectile floor has been revealed directly outside the southeastern wall of shop nr. 3. The existance of a geometric opus sectile pavement partially surrounded by an apsis has been interpreted as the floor decoration of a basilica. The glass tesserae which have also been found on the surface of the same area suggest the existence of wall mosaics. |
