Excavation of the basilica at the agora. Restoration of the opus sectile floor decorating the bema. A donor’s inscription has been revealed on the uppermost step leading from the main hall to the bema, which originally bore the names of the donor(s) of this opus sectile floor. Evidence showing that the southern aisle of the basilica was paved with mosaic. Mention of a few glass tesserae found in the earth fill. |
