Excavations in Bath A, in the southern part of the city. Floor mosaic of 5th c. A.D. has been revealed in Room 10, consisting of geometric patterns.
Excavations in the Early Byzantine Church A, a basilical church with three naves. The narthex, and all three naves are paved with opus tessellatum mosaics. Narthex mosaics consist of geometric patterns; those decorating the naves bear depictions of animals. In the northern and the central naves two dedicatory inscriptions have been revealed mentioning the donors of the mosaic. Probably from the first quarter of the 6th c. A.D. |
