Presentation of mosaics found during the construction of the Municipality Palace (Belediye Sarayi) in Sehzadebasi-Istanbul in 1954 by the engineer of the construction, Mr. Semuh Adil. These polychrome pavements bear geometric pattern and figural depictions as fill motifs. They have been lifted during the rescue excavations carried out by Istanbul Archaeological Museums and are currently being kept in the depots of Istanbul Archaeological Museums and the Hagia Sophia Museum. |
