The Syrian Street : The pavements of the porticoes are fragmentarily preserved. Remains of opus sectile pavement decoration, mainly in the southern portico and in only a couple areas in the northern portico. Remains of opus tessellatum pavement in couple of areas attest that the entrances to some shops were paved with mosaics. Roman villa with mosaics in the southern part of the city (Sector 22S) : Obligatory excavation due to the activity of treasure hunters. Atrium and the southeastern room are paved with opus tessellatum mosaics. Atrium (14,96 x 8,60m): Polychrome opus tessellatum pavement with geometric motifs. The central in the middle of the pavement is only partially preserved. It must have been decorated with two dolphins in each corner and probably a central figure. Smaller tessera size in central panel. The southeastern room : Room nr. 2 was paved with geometric opus tessellatum mosaics (preserved area : 4,32 x 4,57 m). Tessera colours : Yellow, white, light gray, dark gray. Only a part of the room is paved with mosaics which suggests that the room might have been used as two different parts. Remains of a structure have been revealed during modern construction works in Bozburun Village, south of Laodikeia. The building is probably a grave complex. The area in front of the southern wall of the building is paved with mosaics (opus tessellatum) with guilloche motif in three colors (cream color, dark blue and red).
