Small scale rescue excavation carried out in a private property neighbouring the excavation site. A rectangular room (6,25 x 3,50m) decorated with mosaics (opus tessellatum). Geometric patterns are executed in red, blue, orange and white tesserae. Individual square panels are bordered by simple guilloche bands whereas the pavement is bordered by an ivy scroll. Following the documentation, the pavement has been reburied in order to be preserved in situ. |
