Trenches for exploring the medieval strata on top of the mound. The grid-squares L 11-12-13 and M 11-12-13 revealed limestone fragments belonging to an opus sectile floor scattered all over the trench. These were hexagonal in shape with one of their sides polished, mainly in cream colour and one in black. |
