Excavations in the northern annex of the church. An opus tessellatum pavement has been revealed. The border patter consists of bead-and-reel and chevrons. The central panels are decorated with various geometric patterns. According to architectural find situation and stylistic criteria, the pavement is dated to the 4th / 5th c. A.D. It must belong to the earlier basilica which stood at the same spot. |
