The article presents the mosaics from Silifke (Seleucia ad Calycadnus). These pavements are often decorated with geometric patterns, flower grids as well as fill motifs such as floral motifs, animals and birds depicted within ivy scrolls. The dating of these mosaics which cover a long span of time and their high quality attest Seleucia as a mosaic production center and the long existance of mosaic art in the region |
