2006 Yılı Tralleis Antik Kenti Kazı ve Restorasyon Çalışmaları

Excavations at the gymnasium. In sector D 0-100 / G0-100 situated in the south of the gymnasium, remains of a large hall are to be seen. The excavations in this area revealed marble floor slabs (in situ and in fragments) as well as a few tesserae in various colors. In sector D 100-200 / K0-100 situated in the center and north of the gymnasium, scattered mosaic fragments have been found at the entrance of the late antique building situated to the northeast of the load-bearing pillar. Test trench in a level area of the slope west of Tralleis called « Vakıf Zeytinliği » (Vakıflık olive grove). Among other finds, white, light yellow and light green tesserae (1 x 1 cm in size)
