Geometric mosaic (opus tessellatum) decorating the northern end of the civil basilica. The mosaic bears a quoted passage from Homer’s Iliad reflecting the bravehood of Lykian soldiers that fought in the Troian War.
A second mosaic (opus tessellatum) has been revealed in the eastern gallery of the upper agora, depicting Pan flute.
A third mosaic (opus tessellatum) has been revealed in the southern gallery of the decumanus.
Restoration : Mosaics decorating the northern end of the civil basilica, fragments in the side galleries and those decorating the northeastern room (11 NE) of the Early Byzantinian House have been restorated |
