Late Assyrian structure (in Operation G) consisting of two rooms decorated with pebble mosaics. In the Eastern Building, room 2 is a large central courtyard comprising an extensive pebble mosaic floor of alternating squares of black and white stones. In room 11 of the Western Building, a small corner of a second mosaic has been revealed. Similar mosaics of Late Assyrian date are known from Til Barsip / Tell Ahmar in Syria and Arslantaş and Tille Höyük in Turkey |
