Floor decorations and surfaces created with reused brick materials have not yet been studied extensively. The aim of this article is to find out the functions of the rooms decorated with this technique. They could be used as reception rooms, service rooms or kitchens. The areas being researched are the Adriatic coast and the Aegean coast including the island of Delos; the chronological period covered ranges from the 2nd century B.C. to the 1st century A.D. |
