This study examines in detail several mosaic and Greek stone inscriptions discovered in Jordan, making a complete analysis of the textual structure and with bibliographical references added since most of the presented material has not been studied in detail. The inscriptions come from various parts of Jordan such as: the Church of St Constantine in Rihab, the Monastery of Mar Liyas, the macellum of Gerasa/Jarash, Hesban, the Church of the Holy Martyrs in Madaba (also known as al-Khadir Church), the Church of al-Rashidiyah (Al-Karak), and a tombstone from Phaino/Feinan. |
