Lokalitet : Rijeka – prostorna cjelina trga Pul Vele crikve

This article presents the results of the rescue excavations in the area of square Pul Vele crikve and Užarska street from Jelačićev Trg to the western corner with Ulica Janeza Trdine in Rijeka's Stari grad/Old Town. Remains of public buildings of the Roman city were found, as well as parts of a graveyard that developed in medieval and modern times in the same area. We can see two phases of an ancient thermae building dating to the 1st or 3rd century, and when they ceased working, the space was used for the construction of an Early Christian basilica decorated with polychrome mosaics.
