Report on the discovery of a Roman villa in August 2011. Among the surviving remains of decorations were part of a tessellated pavement in a corridor and a large dump of small tesserae from a patterned pavement that had been broken up (both illustrated on p. 32). The patterned mosaic had probably belonged to the original villa of the 1st or early 2nd century AD. |
