Bir Qadismo and the Church of The Kathisma (Area C), Byzantine period, with many tesserae; a mosaic floor (fig. 14) was discovered in one of the pits that was formed by the uprooting of trees. Excavations that followed the discovery of the mosaic floor revealed a polychrome rhomboid pattern and below it, a plastered basin that probably belonged to an earlier building phase. |
