The recent excavation by the Danish-Jordan Islamic Project in Jarash focused on one of the commercial sectors of the city. Some of the excavated shops featured a mosaic floor, decorated with a rather simple pattern composed of a repetition of squares alternating with a decoration of either a smaller square with a central point or a cross. |
