The article presents in detail the restoration made of the pavement of the Church of Sts Lot and Procopius in Khirbet al-Mukhayyat. The mosaic was cleaned, with a complete removal of cement, and loose tesserae were fixed. The damage of the strata below the mosaic led to its temporary removal, a new mortar bed was created to prevent the formation of humidity, and then the pavement was placed in its original position. |
