résumé de l'AIEMA
:
An illicit dig in the vicinity of Gavur Yıkığı (near Çobanisa Village at the skirts Davras Dağı, about 20 km north-east of Isparta) was interrupped by the Directorate of the Isparta Museum. It revealed a mosaic pavement at a depth of 1.5 m on a rectangular surface of 6 m x 7.5 m, at the bottom of a rocky ridge. A dry-laid rubble wall from a later period was built partially on this mosaic. The mosaic was laid using red, green, white, gray, yellow and black tesserae. The pavement which also bears a 7-line inscription in Greek is bordered with a band of simple guilloche (LDG 70j). Translation of the inscription is as follows: “Zotikos and his sons Zosimos and Zotikos Markianus Patrikius [to pay their graditude] have [together] made this [mosaic]”. This mosaic, which is the best example found so far in the region, is dated to the late 3rd-early 4th c. A.D., according to the inscription (transliterated and translated by G. Labarre) as well as a small number of good quality potsherds. Rescue excavations have been conducted by the Isparta Museum in order to reveal a mosaic pavement which was found during an illicit dig in a church situated in the Balıkbaşı district of Harmanören village (former Göndürle) in Atabey.
