Mosaics decorating the second floor of “The Building with Mosaics” have been reassembled and securely stored in Rooms D, E, F and G of the same building. During the excavations in room G, a mosaic decorating the ground floor was partially revealed. The pavement was partially destroyed by a column. Among the remains, a guilloche motif and parts of an animal (probably a gazelle) could be identified (fig. 5). Mosaics of the ground floor have similar characteristics to those decorating the second floor and probably date to the end of the 5th-beginning of the 6th c. A.D. Excavations at the baptisterium (previously identified as Church B) revealed an opus sectile floor with geometric patterns decorating the central part of the building (fig. 3). Excavations at the so-called transept basilica revealed an opus sectile pavement in the naos, near the bema. The pavement consists of five areas decorated with geometric patterns and with a border of white bands.
