The church is located on real estate with the lot number 7890, in the Arvalya district of Selçuk- Kuşadası highway. The church was discovered in 2010, during earth removal for the construction of a football pitch on the field. Subsequent research found that the church was built in the early 5th century, on a monumental Roman structure. According to present evidence, the nave of of the naos seems to be paved with mosaics.
