The opus sectile pavement with a depiction of Medusa decorating the orchestra of the Odeon/Bouleuterion in Kibyra is already known. In front of the stage building, a stoa with a very well-preserved mosaic floor (560 sqm) was revealed. The mosaic pavement was laid with white and grey tesserae; other colors include pinkish and dark grey. The mosaic is composed of panels of geometric motifs framed by grey tesserae. There are three panels with inscriptions: one at the northern end, another at the southern end, and the third in the middle. |
