During the excavations in Han Yıkığı, a Roman bath complex with palaestra was partially revealed. The 5.50 m wide porticoes surrounding the palaestra are paved with geometric mosaics. Based on stylistic parallels from Ephesus, these mosaics are dated to the 3rd-4th c. A.D., probably the end of the 3rd c. A.D. During excavations carried out at the building with niches, north of the palaestra, a mosaic floor executed with large tesserae was revealed. |
