Excavations of the three-nave monumental building situated on Zımbıllı Tepe. Remains of a mosaic pavement with geometric patterns (fig. 3).
Excavations of the forum building situated on Zımbıllı Tepe. Remains of a mosaic pavement were found in the room with hypocaust system.
Excavation of a Roman villa at Sector V, situated northwest of Zımbıllı Tepe. Mention of mosaics decorating Room A, which were excavated in 1984. These mosaics belong to phase 1 of the villa and can be dated to the 3rd-4th c. A.D. based on stylistic criteria. Also mention of an opus sectile pavement decorating Room L in phase 1, as well as a figural mosaic decorating Room E in Phase 2, probably to be dated to the first half of 5th c. A.D. (fig. 8). |
