The second part of the article is dedicated to “research on wall revetments and stone pavements at Sagalassos”, which was carried out during the campaigns of 2007, 2008 and 2009 in order to define the provenance of the stone types used in the Roman bath building, the Neon Library and the Urban Mansion. It has been observed that most of the material used for wall veneer and opus sectile floors is imported, mainly from Dokimeion. The tessellated floor mosaics, on the other hand, were paved using local materials. |
