No 142. Spasitelni arheologičeski proučvanija na obekt ul. Han Krum No 6 v gr. Kjustendil

The northern part of the transept of basilica No. 2 in Pautalia explored in 2006. Mosaic discovered on a surface of around 40 m2. Produced from white, dark gray, red, yellow and orange coloured tesserae. It consists of several square and rectangular panels, with various geometric motifs (lozenges, peltae, chess fields, S-motif, rosettes, circles, etc.). The frames were in the shape of braids, meander, ivy, etc. The basilica can be dated to the V-VI century, on the basis of architecture and stratigraphy.
