Pebble mosaics were revealed in rooms that were used as quarters between the towers of the south wall of the coastal fortification. An important pebble mosaic was found during the excavation of a house in the area of Vatovrisi. It features eraldic rams in a red background and there are also remnants of a four-radius wheel and what seems like the heads of two horses. The pavement dates to the late classical period.
