résumé de l'AIEMA | :
Roman baths dated to the middle of 2nd A.D. century were found in the area between the prehistoric settlement of Sykeona and the “Castle” of the municipality of Fyllo. Two of the rooms were decorated with geometrical floor mosaics; a composition of black lozenges is inscribed within white rectangular shapes that alternate with white lozenges inscribed in black rectangular shapes, and a second composition of intersecting circles which form quatrefoils. Conservation work has been carried out on the mosaics.
In the archaeological site of the ancient Trikki at Trikala was found a floor mosaic in a building with roman and early Christian phases. The mosaic carries a pattern of roundels which are linked with crosses; each disk contains a bird, a flower or a vessel. Christian tombs caused damages on the mosaic floor. |
