The paper presents the project of preparing an inventory on the current state of preservation of mosaics parallel to the documentation of their archaeological and art historical aspects. Two guides, on “Mosaics Condition Terminology” and “First Aid for In Situ Mosaics” will help to use a common terminology and guide the excavators in the absence of a conservator. |
