Rescue excavations in Haleplibahçe – Şanlıurfa revealed three mosaics floors. Mosaic 1 has a broad border pattern decorated with geometric patterns. Mosaic 2 bears depictions of ducks as well as floral motifs. In mosaic 3, an Amazonomachy scene is depicted bordered with an acanthus scroll. The medallions in the scroll are decorated with various animals and Eros children. Dating: Probably 5th - 6thc. A.D. |
