The paper presents the mosaics of the Gara Church in Bodrum – Bitez. The original church, decorated with polychrome mosaics (geometric, floral and figural) is dated to Early Byzantine period. The mosaics have similarities with pavements in the Mediterranean from 4th-6th c. A.D. During the Post Byzantine period, a second church was rebuilt on site which was later used as a dwelling. |
