The author presents an accurate study of the eight animals depicted in the mosaic of Jabal Harun with reference to zoological criteria to confirm the identification of the species. The biogeographical aspect of distribution of these species is also discussed systematically with reference to faunal assemblage in Jordan as recorded by excavation. |
