The article highlights the main aspects of the development of the civil settlement in Umm ar-Rasas in the Byzantine and Omayyad periods, with a presentation of the new achievements of the archaeological research showing that the town was indeed a symbol of peaceful coexistence, honoured to be on the list of Unesco World Heritage sites. |
