résumé de l'AIEMA | :
As a prelude to more detailed analyses that will form part of the projected Corpus of mosaics in Turkey, the article proposes a panoramic review extending from the 6th to the 14th century, including the sectilia today preserved in the quadriportico of Saint Irene, which derive from excavations conducted both at Istanbul and in the surroundings region; the remains of other marble pavements still in situ in their original structures; and those examples that can be no longer inspected today, but which were nonetheless recorded at the moment of their rediscovery.
