During the excavations, three different mosaic panels were discovered in Myndos. The first mosaic is just inside the western edge of the breakwater, which was constructed to control the entrance of the harbour. The second pavement was found on a podium in the north-west part of the city. The last mosaic was found on Asar (Tavşan) Island. It has been observed that the motifs of the Kos-Torba-Myndos mosaics belong to the same repertoire. (Excerpt from the author’s abstract.) |
