résumé de l'AIEMA | :
A new project has been initiated in order to study the mosaics of Perge. The paper focuses on the mosaics decorating the macellum which dates to the second half of 2nd century A.D. and underwent several alterations during Late Antiquity. The four porticoes surrounding the main area, an exedra to the north, the three entrances to the west, as well as the portico bordering the building on the same side are decorated with polychrome opus tessellatum mosaics consisting mainly of geometric carpet patterns. The study of these pavements revealed four main stylistic groups dating to the 4th-5th centuries A.D. and suggests intensive renovation activities in the building during the Late Antique period.
