Brief mention of mosaic finds from Zeugma prior to the discovery of rich mosaics during construction of the Birecik Dam. These include a partially preserved panel depicting a young woman, currently preserved in the Gaziantep Museum, as well as a large mosaic depicting Poseidon in his sea chariot pulled by four horses and surrounded by personifications of Roman provinces, preserved today in the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. |
